2 hours later, we had fallen in love with the cutest Eski-apso ever. That's a mix between an American Eskimo and a Lhasa Apso for those of you who didn't know... heck I'm not even totally sure what that means. He's awesome but we're in for a tough first few months. We've already had one accident in the house... just a little pee on the carpet. One of many I'm sure!
Here's one picture for now. It was tough to get any great ones because it's night time, and he's still really active. Anyway........ here's Derby! :)
Let the adventure begin!

Wow, check out that guilty look on his face.
He's pretty freaking cute.
I'd keep an eye on him. Looks like the type to download viruses onto the computer.
Sweet, you can make your own loldogs now! That's pretty exciting!

wow you guys bought a DOG????
fyi: i'm taking kensington down to my sisters. i have way too many trips coming up with no one to watch her.
you guys can be her surrogate too.
;o)
I'm honored!...and thrilled! He's so adorable. And yes, there will be accidents and chewing things. Get Cesar Milan's book fast and learn to teach the young pack member exactly where he stands in the pack...last. Otherwise you'll have a monster on your hands. Understanding dog psychology is the trick and it's a lot different than people psychology. We're having to retrain our six year old Lab as a result. Actually, we're having to retrain ourselves to reestablish the pack pecking order. It works and dogs actually respond better when they are treated like a pack member, rather than a spoiled human baby. So read up and watch The Dog Whisperer on Friday nights at 8 p.m. on The National Geographic Channel. It will help you raise a well-balanced Derby! Congrats again!!!!! -Brian Derby and Terry Clotiaux
hi brian! good to hear from you... i hope all is well with you and terry.
as far as cesar's book goes, do you have one you'd recommend? i noticed he has several books out, as well as lots of dvds.
we have seen dog whisperer before (maybe about 3 episodes of it), but unfortunately our cable doesn't have national geographic channel (maybe just not my package, i'm going to have to look into it). i'm going to netflix all of the episodes now though!
thanks for the tips and talk to you soon.
